Co. Donegal 16.02.10

Wed Feb 17, 2010 1:11 am

People:me, mick, stephen

Duration:7.00-10.30pm

Tide:high at 8.00pm

Weather:mild calm

Bait:rag, squid, mackeral

Rigs:flapper

Results:2flounder, 2shore rockling

Report:Arrived at a local pier for a session, joined later on by stephen who first fished last year but hasn't been out all winter between a new son and the weather, afraid that there were fish to be caught and he might miss them mick decided to join us too  Got set up and almost immediately had a few good bites, struck but my rig came back in minus a hook   must have been watching tv making that rig
A long time passed with not a lot happening then I landed a double of flounder and shore rockling :D both 22cm Then deciding enough was enough and time to call it a day mick reeled in shore rockling just in time to save a blank :D It was a great oppertunity to catch up with stephen as there wasn't too much happening then just as we were deciding what time to finish Stephen had a solid bite and reeled in his first ever flounder :D :D
All in all a slow evening but at least nobody blanked and stephen got a new species
