Shannon Estuary south shore, 13th-feb-2010

Sun Feb 14, 2010 4:57 pm

People: Me

Duration: 11am until 3:30pm

Tide: 11:32 (0.8m) 17:50(4.6m)

Weather: Calm mildish cloud with sun sneaking through. Northerly breeze picked up later

Bait: Mackerel, sand eel and squid

Rigs: 4/0 penel ledger, size 2 three hook rigs, 3/0 pulley

Results: Blank

Report: Fished size 2 three hook rigs through the session on one rod with bigger hooks on the second plopped around into the rougher spots and close in. Have never blanked here before and have nabbed dogs a huss through the winter here in years gone by. Not bite and the crabs weren't even that active. I should of fished here at night but I don't like fishing here in the dark on my own.

Blanked last week trying for straps on another estuary mark after Glin pier producing two tiddlers. Fairly frustrating stuff.
