There's never too much to write about with a blank but I guess it lets everyone know how marks are fishing.
Saturday Morning
Lecanvey Pier
11am-2pm
Tide about 3 quarters in and going out (if that makes sense)
Frozen Lug, sand eel, squid, mussel
2 rods one out to Claire Island and one across the beach.
Absolutely glorious day, crystal clear water, was in my t-shirt, zero weed, flattest Ive even seen the water there. (Im blaming the sun for the blank)
After being told by Noel Doggie3131 specifically not the fish this mark I went ahead and did it anyways (Im from Dublin you know) but I didnt want to stray to far as there was a mach needed watching.
Never used mussel fresh before, it was smelly and messy but the crabs went mental for it, so a good sign that its an aromatic bait.
Sunday Morning (The Day after the night before!)
Runagh Pier and Old Head
11am-3pm
I dont want to talk about the beginning of the day, failed hunt for mack and dodgy breakfast rolls
Same baits and tactics at Runagh. Tried lobbing sand eel across the harbour in amongst the rocks to lure something out but only last tackle. Gave up here and went to Old Head with the flattie rigs but no joy. The weather was not so nice, Huge sets rolling in at Runagh, dead flat at Old Head. Still bright enough. NM* Noel told me not to bother here either!!!!!

Anyways lesson learned! Listen to the locals!
