The current Irish record 17lbs 13ozs is from Clare.... there's been a lot of fine unreported fish from there recently

Nice to get one this early.Back when i was a youth (1970s) Clare had plenty Bass, but then they seemed to fade away in the 80s/90s. Looks like they're well back again.

Bassmania wrote:What can I say................................. a disaster of a fishing session! All day I had lost only one trace (considering the rocky terrain) and then the rod snapped. I wouldn't mind but I hadn't put much of a bend in the rod, who knows the rod could have taken a hop on a previous outing and I didn't notice ahh, that's the way it goes!
But then it just got worse! off late if Shay cast out from under his leg................ fish on! backwards............. fish on! There is no justice! and as for the journey home, it's hard to think with Limerick right beside Clare it could still take him 4 hours to drive home .....Bass this, Bass that, bast... and we were no where near Ennis!!!
Outside of that it was a good day out, it could have being worse .......... I could have being at home painting
