Duration: 13.00 - 16.00
Tide:High Tide about 2.30 ish
Weather: Clear Sky, Sea very calm
Bait: lug + mussel
Rigs: Single clip down
Results: 1 small codling (20 cms) + 1 flounder (about 30 cms)
Report: Had a few hours free this afternoon so headed down to ennereilly. On the journey down, the roads were still dicey in the more sheltered areas....slow and steady!!! When I got down to the beach there was a tree trunk washed ashore so set up next to it and it doubled as a handy seat. The tide was on the rise and I think it peaked at about 2.30 ish. Sun was beaming down and the sea was very calm. First cast resulted in a small codling of about 20 cms. I didn't even notice the bite he was that small. All quiet after that for about an hour, then caught the flounder, about 30 cms or so and he was fairly plump. Quick pic and he was swimming off in the suds. Nothing further after the flounder. Must invest in a measure stick. Was a nice afternoon to be out, didn't really feel the cold too much until the sun started to set.
Tried to attach a couple of pics but no joy, keep getting a message saying that they contained too many pixels in terms of their width???

Well done and its extra special to catch during daylight at this time of the year, no point fishing if youre worried about getting home in the snow and ice so you probably made the right decision
