People- Just me
Weather- calm, clear and a few rain showers
Duration- 4hrs
Tides- push
Bait- lug and White rag
Rigs- float, 2 up 1 down and 3 hook flapper
Results- 27 Pollack, 1 Coalie, 1 Codling, 1 Sandsmelt, 1 Pouting and a crab
Report-
went down around half 2, the session started slow until darkness rolled in as soon as it got dark i got a small codling at 14cm, this was followed by a pollack of 18 which was then followed by a 22cm coalie, this was followed by a few more pollack and this was then followede by the sandsmelt (60th Irish species for 2009), for the rest of the session i was just getting pollack and i ended on a small pouting. All in all a good session.

Good to get the 60th, i thought i was going to fail, when i got the sand smelt i was about to run up and down the pier, lol, still good to have it done with just days to go. Cheers, will have pics up tomorrow, would have had them up tonight, but this phone is a nusence for uploading pics off.

I'm not sure that the secret of Dan's success is necessarily the venue. I think its probably down to the fact that he puts in more hours fishing than anyone else on the Forum or elsewhere!

to be honest i wouldnt say he puts more hours than most ! but if he did (and im not being smart when i say this ) but i wouldnt want to spend all those hours on the same venue catching and counting a yearly tally of 10,000 pin whiting !
