Report:Decided to try my luck again at Greystones North Beach .Walked down from the car without the gear to check it out first and although there were some big rollers coming in, it was low tide and plenty of beach to retreat onto so i decided to try it. Theyve made a new ramp down onto the beach which is much handier and less dangerous than the old track. I set up 2 rods and was well wrapped up against the weather. Couldnt see the bites with the breeze and only lost one rig, which i miraculously reeled in a few casts later. Got a message from Fishface asking how I was doing and when i answered "none yet!",i got the reply "Blankety Blank!" .Shortly after this I landed a codling and sent him this pic

I had 2 others in the 25cms-28cms bracket after this. Then the whiting came, all in the late 20's cms, with one i could maybe get away with 30cms but i know in me heart of hearts that its really 29cms

Got 5 whiting before i got a bit nervous of the snow,after all the missus was picking me up

,,,,,so i packed up a bit early and was actually on time and waiting at the pick up point at 8-30pm

. I neednt have bothered as she was 30 mins late herself and i had to wait outside a house with a dog barking at me for half an hour

. Ah well, shes had to wait for me plenty of times i suppose

, not a bad night considering the weather and the North East wind (or is that part of the weather

)
