Place: Ballywilling
Time:4pm-9pm
Bait:Rag,Lug,Squid and Crab
Rigs: 2 hook flapper and pully rig
Result: 1 flattie at 38cm, 2 coalies, 2 whiting and 6 cod
High tide was at 6:30 so i was fishing the high tide to half way down. Fishing started of very slow as i couldnt get through the small whiting until the tide started to drop the weather was perfect no wind dry but very cold i caught all the fish on rag tipped with a small piece of squid. cod not a bad size, crab bait was working very well during the week here but last night i didnt even get a touch on it.
it was the worm bait that took all the fish, once the tide dropped back to about half way out all bites stopped so that was time to pack up and go hope to geta well deserved cup of tea

Great fishing Jimmy,
I tried there the other night fishing from just after high tide down to low tide. But had a much poorer result; 3 small codling and a flounder. Must try rag the next time if I can find some - my usual rag beds are not great at the moment.
We must have another session after Christmas.
