bait: squid,mackriel and crab
high water:5pm
rigs:2 hook flapper and pully rig
result: 5 codling 2 small whiting 1 dab and 1 small coalie

fishing started of very slow at high tide with bites few and far between only started getting bites when the tide started running out. i landed my first codling of the night at about 6pm bites was none stop for about 1 hour after the first fish codling was only being caught on the crab but not the crab body only legs and claws so i desided to save the crab bodys for a trip out to ballywilling tonight
the dab and whiting was caught on mackreil the fish started to disapper by about 8:30 so by 9pm i started to have one more last cast after another until 9:30 came along with no more fish being landed so i packed up and went home it was a strange night with out getting a single doggie its a big surprize that i didnt get one as this mark is renoned for dogs

At least some fish put in a show for you, better than a drippy nose and cold feet for your effort. Few of us headin down your way from belfast after boxing day for short break, would be great if you could keep us in the loop on where mite produce a few fish. We will be based in Youghal but willing to travel. Good luck on your session tonight.
