Report: we got the early boat to scotland and after breakfast and the ships movie we planned the day.
At portpatrick we parked and walked out to the yellow isle a mark a local lad I work with sayed was doing good. He were after cod but with the sun up and a flat calm coulourless sea didnt look good.
First cast took some very big dabs taken on trout of all things again local knowledge some of the biggest dabs we have ever seen. Started to think All there was is dabs but then the plaice and coalies turned up. Every cast took nice knocks then fish but the take of the day went to brian taking his tripod and rods clean off the ground damaging his brand new rod He took a great big coalie, our cutting board was 30cm and its head and tail hung clean of the board. at last round fish were feeding.
It was like this all day some very good fish taken, we headed to town for chips and the ferry. We decide to try a pier close to terminal to use up bait were more whiting and codling were taken falling to brian and graig ( i blanked this pier

). The temp dropped in seconds as soon as the darkness fell the car said -3 but it was baltic
We packed up with the return ferry in sight ending a very good day a day enjoyed by all some nice fish and some great company had.
On the ferry we planned our next trip in jan this time portlogan or mull galaway direction, this was followed by another feed off chips a small sleep by some and a few hot drinks.
