Report:
headed off to clear thehead and get out of the house for a few hours and headed west.. arrived at mark and set up, a very quick casting tutorial and gara30 was away fishin, i set him up to target ray, i set up with other species in mind.. anything at all really but not doggies or ray that we usually get here..
i missed a few big bites but when i did connect with a bite i managed to pull out a whiting, missed another big bite due to a rain shower.. (note to self.. always bring leggings) the wind started to pick up and it was dark so wee decided to try another mark on the way home for a few hours, gara30 reeled in and the sounds of joy as he realised he had a fish were in the air..
yip.. he got his first ray.. quick pic and release and away we went to the next mark..
arrived at the mark and set up and gjust as we were baiting up for the first cast a jeep pulled up behind us, and shouts of abuse were hurled towards me as the jeep door opened...
thankfully doggie3131 and goldwing stopped off for coffee just before arriving at the mark or they would have gotten the good spots to fish..
so with 4 rods in the water the cat and slagging started until goldwing pulled out a fish.. but NOT one on his rig, but the cheeky Mayo-Geordie managed to pull gara30's rig in with a nice little poorcod on it... and to embarrass himself further he called it a whiting...

soon after fish started on the feed and poor cod nd pouting were coming with the odd wee (10cm) whiting to boot, then i landed the biggest fish of the session (pic below), good sized too..
but the want for food got the better of me and gara30 so we hit the road and left doggie3131 and goldwing to battle out the elements, i'm sure they will add what they caught and try to rub it in too..
