bannow and coutown

PEOPLE me ringo ashley
weather crap
BAIT lug crab mack
TIMES 12 to 4 pm then 6.30 to 10 pm

driving down the road from w/bridge we were greeted by white horses and dirty brown water
not a good start  anyway we set up the rods baited up and droped them out into the chanel
suprise suprise ten min later ringo after getting a few knocks brings in a nice double 8) we all had fish in the
next few minutes ,this lasted till about 1 oclock went a bit quiet till 2 then there was a flurry of fish doubles and trebles , all the flounders were caught on lug not 1 on crab . One of the trebles had fish of 450 380 and 350 cm 8) 8) all in great condition that lasted till 3.30 lost count of number of flounders caught guessing maybe 25 to 30
With the conditions we had it was a great result and looking forward to getting back down when we get some settled weather

After hitting the chipper we were good to go again so myself and ringo hit c/town
arrived 6.30 there was a gale blowing luckily from s/w we just used 1 stand between us we didn't have long to wait
i was using a 2 hook flapper with 3/0 and ringo 3 hook flapper with size 1s
From the off we had doubles and trebles all night   we had 7 spieces dogs ,whiting dabs ,r/ling,lemon sole
codling and flounders :P :P we stuck it out as long as we could but the wind and rain got the better of us   But we went home happy campers
