North Dublin mark - 01/10/09

Fri Oct 02, 2009 5:57 pm

People:Me

Duration:4 hours

Tide:High

Weather:fine

Bait:peeler, rags and lugs

Rigs:two hooks flapper

Results:whiting, whiting, whiting ... doggies, doggies, doggies ... crabs, crabs, crabs ...

Report:Not so much to report ... I have been plagued by pin whitings, so decided to set a second rod with a bigger hook and a bigger bait as far as I can and this time I have been plagued by dogfish (better than whiting :) )... Suddenly, whiting and dogfish leave me alone and that's when the biggest pest in the sea arrive ... Crabs ( I prefer whiting finally)... My hooks where cleaned in a matter of seconds ... So decided to head back home ...

Finally doggies or whiting even pin ones will always be better than crabs ... Some were proposing a seal culling, me, I propose a crab culling :D ...

Know exactly how you feel bud, fecking crabs are the bain of my life lately a doggie is better than them and its difficult to land em as bait for bigger stuff.

Keep plugging it'll happen again or thats what every is telling me :?
