Report: The 3rd leg of the Connaught Gold Medal / 4th leg West Coast Shore League took place at Renvyle Sunday 20th Sept. The pegs were split to the left and right of the point in the middle of the beach. A few early dogs showed close to the point and another couple showed to the pegs left of the point there was aslo a nice 48cm Thornie taken. The pegs fishing to the right of the point had a very slow day with only 3 fish showing between 5 anglers one of which was a fine Flounder 40cm on the last cast.
Results:
1st Place - Fergus Collins 120pts
2nd Place - Mike Varley 112pts
3rd Place - Owen Gilvarry 111pts
Congrats to Fergus on the win and very tight for 2nd and 3rd place with only 1cm in it.
Corrane SAC are hosting the final leg this coming Sunday at Keel beach Achill fishing from 12:00-17:00

Howdy Paul, I'd peg 26 in the middle of the beach on the right just no fish showing that side on the day we tried everything.... blankety blank for me i'm afraid

he just hasnt learned how to prise the "good cards" out of the draw mans iron grip - which occurs a lot here out west!!!
you got to feel how the connaught league is for the rest of us mere mortals - im sure youll be back to your winning ways up in keel - otherwise ill be the one signing you off to the cheili house!!!

Hard luck conor, i know what it's like i had a run of mean pegs there for a while not much you can do about it.
