Booner,
Surprised you didn't get any wrasse especially if you were using lugworm. At the very front of the pier there is a ledge with a lot kelp on it, cast beyond this on to sand and wind back in as close to the swaying kelp as you dare - shouldn't be long before a wrasse nips out and takes your worms. Wrasse definetly are back on the ground, was talking to divers during the week and they are seeing them.
