Results: 1 Smoothie, 1 small Coalie, 1 small whiting

Report:
We we're thinking of heading down to Wexford to try some new spots, but a last minute check on the Forum showed some nice smoothies and rays being caught in Ennereilly. Wexford next week so!
There was a good few out at Ennereilly, met some guys from the Forum, howya Boycie. They must have seen those good reports from the night before too :)
Started with some lug but nothing but a small Coalie and a small whiting interested, so we went with the Crab.
At about 22:30, after about 5 minutes after casting the first crab Skippy got a nice Smoothie, we had no scales but I imagine it was about 5-6 lbs - first decent smoothie he's caught - I'm still looking for one! Still novices to be honest.
Nothing more after that but it was good to see a decent smoothie - even if it wasn't me that caught it :-)
Another thing - A family out, just up the beach, about 10 mins after Skippy caught his smoothie caught a 10 lb Bull Huss? The pictures I have are awful, sorry will bring a proper camera next time, but can anyone tell me if its a Huss or a savage LSD? Not too sure ourselves.

Cracking smoothie, looks around the 5-6lb mark alright

Glad our good results friday evening got you down to that beach.

A few of us  fished down there on thursday evening, and not a single smoothie.

I'm told huss do get caught on that beach so its possible, but unless the scales in that photo are of industrial proportions, then I'd say that fish is some way off being a 10 lber

Did you actually see the scales to know it was 10lb ?

If it was definately a 10lb fish then its no doggie, must have been a huss

Hi shamoo,
Yeah I seen the scales and it showed 4.7 Kilos - the pictures I took of it didn't do it justice at all, and it looks quite small compared to what we expected, but it was a lot bigger than that smoothie Skippy caught in the other picture.
Its by far the biggest fish I've seen caught off the beach by a long shot - definitely bringing a better camera next time :-)
