People: stevecrow74 & myself
Duration: 17:30 - 22:00 (can't handle these short sessions

)
Tide: HT @ 20:55
Weather: Nice for a change hardly a breeze and sunshine
Bait: Rag, Lug, Sandeel, Squid, Mackerel
Rigs: 1 up 1 down, 3 hook loop, 1 hook paternoster, 1 hook running snood
Results: Pollack, Coalies, Ballan Wrasse and Shore Rockling
Report: Collected the crow and headed for a late lunch / early dinner for me... breakfast for steve
Then off we went to try an easily accessible mark only to find no room on it

damn this good weather
So a bit of recy was done around South Connemara after sticking a few potential marks on the Sat Nav we settled on a little cove fishing into mixed ground plenty of sand with a few reefs and kelp beds.
I was in first with a pollack followed by a coalie, then a coalie and ballan wrasse double... steve got off the mark with a pollack followed soon after by a ballan wrasse.... i had another pollack and a coalie and steve picked up the last fish if the session a shore rockling...
Funny as the light dropped and the tide peaked the fishing just stopped

we did move up a couple of hook sizes trying for Ray and Huss maybe we'd of been better off sticking with the size 2's..
Nice to fish a virgin mark and get 4 species off it... its well sheltered and you can nearly fish from you car which is handy if your on crutches...
Going to try it over low water next time see if any else will show up
Steve has a few pics to put up...
