People: myself
Duration: 3 hours each evening
Tide: over high galway and on the fill donegal
Weather: raining galway - dry donegal
Bait: rag, mac, sandeel, sprat
Rigs: 3hook flapper, pulley
Results: 1 codling galway - blank donegal
Report: not much to report just that i got my first ever codling in galway bay - heard they were there 20 years ago from the shore and gone since - took rag
it was a shingle beach with plenty of rough ground about in places - first time fishing it
was only 17cm - but good to see in these parts
after a lot of research the donegal mark was tried and i was finding the channel fine - but the crabs had me destroyed in 2 mins each cast - flew through the bait - no ray were had - nice mark all the same
thanks to all who gave me advice from up buncrana way - will definitely try it again if im up that side
