People:me first then tony then brock and his wow wow

Tide:full at 6 ish

Weather:strong westerly no rain 8)

Bait:rag ,frozen peeler,and leatherbacks

Rigs:pullys for tony and 2 hooked clipped and up and overs for me

Results:smoothys and dogs




Report:had planned to meet tony for a session so with a strong westerly bass where off the cards as the sea was flat calm until about a mile or so offshore.a plan was hatched and after ringin erico (who was busy :cry: )loaded up and off to nanny for a go at smoothys.noticed a smash up on the bridge on the n11 on my way south but didnt think much of it :shock: got down to my mark and first cast was with rag ,left all my crab in cool bag :oops: still solid!set up second rod and by this time had spoken to tony ,the traffic was manic from the smash delaying poor tony for over an hour(hate that!!)by the time he arrived i had a nice smoothys c&p&r and was hopefull of a few more ,we both managed to get hammered several more times and landed six altogether ,at about 7.30 bites got slow ,denis arrived then and scared off all the hounds with his dog ,from then till dusk the doggies came on and after 5 or 6 i got fed up and we packed up and headed home was starvin at this stage and hit mcdonalds in bray for a feed 8) p.s thanks to the lad who took the pics for me hope you enjoy the site :wink:

Some nice fishing there Rodger, 8) I got caught in the same traffic on my way to Greystones yesterday. :( The Gardai had closed off the bridge at that stage so it must have been pretty bad, eitherway the traffic was nuts. I'm still on the hunt for some hounds myself so I think a trip down that direction is in order. :wink:

Nice fish lads. I heard about the traffic on the news alright. Poor Tony does not like sitting still in his van! On the up side part of the N11 is now classed as a motor way. Just passed Arklow I think.

dave tilly has no friends :lol: :lol: :lol: just buckets of crabs and money :mrgreen: their is a book called sea fishing ireland handbook 2009 that has exellent directions of how to get to this beach :oops:

i would have said the same but i fished a calm dropping tide in shallow water tonight and got a good result! :? :?
