depends on the species,
cod range to about a pound is the biggest i have had mainly small
dogfish to nearly 3 pounds
pollack to about 2 pounds
coalies to about the same
flatties to 30cm
seatrout are over 10lbs but have had to 4lbs
rockling to about 20 cm or so
mackerel vary
mullet go to double figures but very hard to get my biggest about 2lbs#
whiting are normally just pin whiting
most fish are just small, but there are some better ones.
