7.30am to 6pm
HT 8.30am
Lashing first and then the best day of the year so far
Rag, mack, crab, squid, sandeel.
Two and three hook flappers.
Blankedy Blank
Started out at 6.15am and the weather was atrocious. The rain was bucketing down. Bad omen we thought.
Arrived at the first mark and we set up. Lashed the lines out and hoped for a few dogs to get the blood up. While waiting had a wander around and picked up plenty of rag left around by other anglers from the night before. Also picked up two weights, six hooks, a moxey load of attractor beads and a spinner.
Stayed for about an hour, before packing up as the weather stated to pick up. Yipee.
Arrived at the second mark, and the sun was high in the sky, beaming down. Flung everything at them for the next six hours, all to no avail.
Four o’clock we were on the hunt again and arrived at a good rock mark that had produced in the past. Here again we fired what we had at them, but the buggers just laughed at us.
However, the day was not a complete loss as the three of us picked up the ray (the sun that is).
