Report:went to my pollack spot not many biting tonight got one 2lb pollack,landed one mackerel and lost one

Pickings just as thin up here these days, GF. We were out in the boat twice in the last 5 days and the catch was so poor I'd be ashamed to post a report. Fish must've moved south.

unfortunately they have not, tried Ballyvaughan and Blackhead on Tuesday and Wednesday, dead as a Dodo.

Nice fishing there GF, wish I would have been so lucky, but nothing, nada, zilch, good that there is always Monks Pub :wink:

I hope you manage to find the fish soon, I'm coming over next weekend to fish round Connemara area....

Ive said before and Ill say it again, have you ever seen a more beautiful fish than a mack, I got few in westport the other day and its been a year but the colours and the silver! how much would a taxidermist charge?

not sure about the price for Mackerel, but for Rainbow Trout, which is about the same size you can expect to pay around €200, give or take.
Here a link to a taxidermist from Austria, I know him well and he is one of the best, works for all the Austrian museums, site is in german lingo unfortunately but it's easy to browse the fishy pictures :) :wink:
