I live in Kildare but as I do most of my sea fishing in Wexford I have never really ventured out around Dublin/Wicklow area before so this was into an unknown. I set up the rod and grabbed some lures and set off. I fished the rocks just down from the pier all the way half-way up the beach and back. I was delighted to catch the pollock as he came in the last 20 mins of fishing and hope and faith was restored.....even if he was only small!!!!
There was a couple of others there fishing for macks(no macks just small pollock too) and one guy on the beach. (he was at the very south end and didnt venture down that far).
A word of warning....the rocks in the area are quite jagged and slippery especially when the light was fading. I almost went down at one stage (probably because I was so intent on placing the life of my rod before mine!!!

).
As Im not used to the area any pointers into any bass areas (anywhere an hour either side of Dublin) would be appreciated. Im not looking for people's actual fishing marks but just some general pointers would be great regarding accessibility etc would be great.
Thanks Guys
