another east cork bass 28/7/09

Tide:hw at 23.00

Weather:clear to start with then heavy fog

Bait:crab

Rigs:4/0 flapper

Results: 1 bass 6.5 lb




Report:arrived at beach a and set up and to my surprise it was fishable what a difference a day makes the weed had moved on. got a good bite on second cast but struck into it a bit too early i think and lost it hopes were high after that but didnt get a nibble after that. decided to use up the peeled crab i had left and head home so out went 2 big crab baits and few minutes later wallop fish on bit of a scrap later and 6.5 lb bass flapping at my feet yessssssss a new pb previous being 6lb so last cast turned into another hour without a bite so packed up and headed home delighted with my catch still cant get the hang of adding pictures to my reports

thats a whopper bhoy well done,its often the last cast that produces course its never the last cast after you catch one like that

well done on the p.b bass. i was the same last night the last cast lasted nearly an hour , its hard to go home when ya think theres a shoal of hungry fishies out there
