people- john and myself.
duration- 1.40pm-8.00pm.
weather- sunshine, rain, calm and thunder and lightning.
tide- push, slack and start of ebb.
bait- lug, mack and limpet.
rigs- flappers, float, conger rig, feathers and jellyworms.
results- me- 28 wrasse (both ballan and corkwing), 1 pollack, 1 codling, 3 rockling, 2 shannies and a rock goby.
john- 32 wrasse (ballan and corkwing), 1 pollack, 1 cod, 6 shannies and 1 rockling.
in total- 60 wrasse, 2 pollack, 2 codling, 6 shannies, 1 rock goby, 4 rockling.
i texted john on monday to see if he fancied givin the dee a go this week, we decided on today to try it, so i got there early on and got the rods rigged and by that stage john was down, i got a wrasse first go, then john got his first ever wrasse, then we had a small cod then some more wrasse and then another codling followed by more wrasse and shannies and then john got a pollack, and then we got some more wrasse and then i got my 3 rockling and john got his first rockling, john went shortly after and i got a small pollack.
2 of the shannies also caught me whilst i was unhooking then and drew blood and it f***ing hurt.
all in all a good session and cant wait til tomorrows session to portavoe for some trout.

Well done Dan, plenty of fish to keep you busy. Love days like that. Leave the stockie trout alone and get yourself some wild seatrout chum, you don't have to travel far for them.

cheers rab01, it is actually john wants a trout on the fly so i am taking him to try to help him as he might need the help.

also had a couple of knocks on a conger rig, but i think they were just crabs.

haha those shaannies do hurt alright and they dont let go!!!

considering the bait was abit rotten on it, it seemed to still work, must have been the scent.
