People:myself and mick
Duration:9pm till 1.30am
Tide:dropping and rising h.t. 4/5am
Weather:showery but clearing, s/easterly breeze
Bait: lug and crab
Rigs:2 and 3 hook rigs with grip lead.
Results: a few dogs and a nice smoothie
Report:
dug some lug just as the tide came in today.
rang a few of the lads and only mick could make it.
headed to the southwall at about half eight and decided
to add crab to the menu as the tide was in favour!
20min later we had enough crab to top up the bait so off we
went down the wall.
most anglers were heading home at this time with the showers
and darkness imminent.
anyway we stopped at the half-moon swim club, not being lazy
but felt sheltered and ease of lifting fish in the dark if we were to catch!
and we only had one light(dynamo job!)
a few dogs got us the first action and then the smoothies appeared.
times got quiet then and the night finished with a dog after a quiet hour.
wrapped up at 1:30 very happy with plenty of lug for tomorrow,
and maybe more crab with tomorrows low tide!
great to live so close to a good mark!
