Report:fished the Gunwell again on Sunday with Davy, and had a real good day up there. Weather was absolutely scorchio, and the Killybegs channel was full of life. Small fry and sandeels everywhere. Loads of mullet cruising past our feet too. went for nice fresh bait 1st, and Davy was straight into a string of macks. With some nice fresh mack, we then set set up the tripods and got into it. The list of fish caught doesn't really do the day justice, as several fish were lost, and bites were non stop. Highlights of the day were Davy getting his 1st ever thornies, and myself grabbing a couple of reasonable pollock on the redgills on light spinning gear. All in all a good day, and next time we're bringing some mullet gear!
