Dublin mullet hunt 28/06/09

result: zero, but found my waders aren;t 100% waterproof on the right leg

report:
WAs just home in my folks for the weekend minding pets and plants, so decided to while away a few hours down the sea front, figured I'd try the mullet for first time this year.. There was loads of em, and they were'nt too spooked by me standing there like a heron, half way out in the estuary Had a couple of movements on the float, but no hook ups.. Tried pluggin for some bass also before the mullet hunt, but no joy there. Met a couple of chaps before setting up though and as I got there one hooked into what I thought was a weedfish, but turned out to be a 57cm, 5lb basS!
was so funny to watch them wrestlin with it tryin to get it ashore, they got wet, cut to ribbons. But they seemed really happy, and were nice guys so I gave em a hand with it, had my handy knock off boga grip with me.

It took rag, so I think I shall be venturin out after the silver B*stards tomorrow if anyone's about.
