Decided to have a crack at a few wrasse and pollack off a local rock mark yesterday for an hour or so. Decided to ignore the fact that it was clouding over - think I've gotten too used to the hot weather over the last week - and went out in shorts and a t-shirt. Arrived at the mark to find a pretty cold wind pushing from left to right. Bloody cold actually. That wasn't going to stop me though. Huddling for shleter and warmth off the rocks every time i went to rebait charged up the heat levels. Not a whole lot of action really - had a couple of small pollack, biggest probably 25cms. Not a sniff of a wrasse which was suprising. Still, it's another new species for 2009 and good to get out twice in one week (pretty rare for me).
Again there were a lot of decent size mullet around. Decided to splash out today on a new feeder rod and 2500 size reel to have a go at them. Targeting mullet is probably the last thing my patience needs but i'm gonna give it a go anyway.
