Report:Waterfoot Pier
I needed a break from work and to get the old head rested so a quick look at the tide chart and a race to the coast landed me on waterfoot pier. A chap and his 2 sons were on it when i arrived but left while i was setting up having caught nothing. 1st rod went out at distance and started to nod while i was setting up second rod. Second rod out and i reeled in the other to find a nice big spider crab 13inches, returned safely.Set up spinning rod and tried for them elusive mackeral but no joy. Both rods nodding produced a doggy and a codling. After this most knocks came on the hoceye trace tipped with squid even the darn doggies were getting tangled in it. Plenty of missed bites and 1 dropped hook so a very worthwhile and not so restfull was had.
