Donaghadee Pier, 21/06/09

Tue Jun 23, 2009 10:45 am

People:Me

Duration:2100 - 0000

Tide:HW @ 2300

Weather:drizzle, misty

Bait:mack, sandeel

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:3 doggies

Report:

Arrived down to find 3 other anglers already there, one of whom was rdoggart from the forum.
He told me that he had caught a couple of Wrasse, and that one of the other guys had landed a treble shot of mackerel on feathers.

Got both rods set up, and after about an hour of crab bites, I had a good rattle on my second rod and in came a doggie. Another two followed within the next hour. It went quiet around HW, so, with the spectre of work looming the next morning, I called it a day around midnight.

One thing i did notice was that there seemed to be a lot more loose weed around than usual

Cheers mate. There seems to be a lot of weed about at the minute. Every time I reeled in there was about 6 foot of kelp attached to the grip lead
