Headed down for first session at this mark, dreading the prospect of being crowded out by ignoratn mac bashers. but pleasant surprise..some reasonably serious anglers about, but only a few! Spend a couple of pleasant hours working two rods..one with live bait, other a new spinning rod with ProEmblem saltwater reel on feathers
Weather: excellent, slight s/w breezes, cloud building, warm
Tide: high around 19:48hrs
Time spent: 18:45 to 21:25hrs.
Bait: Fresh rag, lug; feathers
Rig: 3 hook flappers; size hooks - varying 2 to 4.0
Results: 2 Launce Eels, Scorpion Fish, 1 small Wrasse with 1Pollack (52cms.11/2 lbs.), 1 Coalie (43cms.11/4lbs.)
Pollack gave good fight especially with a Wrasse on second trace!

; were relatively close in - approx. 25metres
Had hope for some mackerel for dinner and to store as bait; but only saw one being caught
by some lads beside me (a jovie mac., at that!). It was a coalies and pollack night! Guess the macs will have to wait...do I care?!
