People: myself and alan
Duration: about 4 - 5 hours
Tide: outgoing
Weather: nice
Bait: rag and mackerel
Rigs: 2 hook flappers, floating and spinning
Results: 5 pollack, 3 coalies,1 plaice, 5 doggies (woof), 2 wrasse
Report: went via larne to collect rag worm on the way, but after tellin my mate to ring if he was closed, the shop owner decided not to come and give us bait. . .we were at the shop at 4.55pm!!! to cut a long story short, he'll not be gettin our business again.
onwards we went to black arch and it looked like a good place to lose everything, so glenarm was called upon. after arriving without the rag, we set up on the mackerel, ( a few guys next to us left us some lovely rag when they went home, cheers guys) alan got a few doggies on the flappers at distance soon after setting up and then a few pollack and wrasse close in on the float. i thought another unproductive session was install for myself untill i landed a couple of doggies at distance, and a tiny place the size of my hand . a coalie fell to the float but nothing at all on the spinner. . . .
. . .i'll certainly be back to fish glenarm
p.s. anyone know when the bigger fish come in close to shore?

well done man, thats was a decent session you had, i've never fished glenarm so i'm not sure when or if the fish get any bigger.i've had the same problems with the trying to get rag in larne, never been back myself since then, i just make sure i order mine in advance now in belfast. you could try garron point as i think you could get into some decent pollack, just be ready to lose some gear there but it could be worth it

Nice session, bigger fish are rare around glenarm and you will be lucky if you get anything bigger than the doggies u where catching. That bay has been trawled out, if you where to try the white rocks with a float you might pick up a few decent pollock. Although dont get me wrong glenarm has been very productive for me over the years but I havent caught or have I heard of anything big being landed.

nice one man

. that was a good result for the time you were there. i take it you were fishing the breakwater as you come into glenarm?. we fished the beach a few times but it's never been great. but like aaron said, the white rocks or the ledges always throw up the bigger fish

. a guy in our club got a 61cm pollack there at the last comp we had out that direction and won the biggest fish pool
