Report:
Called into a local tackle shop during the week, and picked up 2 velcro rod rests which attach to pier railings. Have to say that they are a very good job, and definitely stop the rods for sliding down the railing in a breze. Well worth the money
Anyway, enough about that, lets get down to the fishing
Arrived at the Dee to find my favourite spot free, so set up both rods on 3 hook flappers with mack, and after about 15 minutes got a coalie which was around 1lb. A guy who had been fishing off the back of the pier started to pack up, and gave me a bag of rag which he had left over. In came both rods, and the rag went straight on!
I got into a shore rockling almost straight away, and after that the fishing was slow but steady, with 2 more coalies, another rockling and a sea scorpion making appearances The crabs were keeping me busy

, and I reckon that for every fish landed, I must have reeled in about 5 times only for the "fish" (crab

) to come off before the surface.
It all went quiet about 11, but I rounded the night off with a decent sized doggie caught on mack.
I dont know if the guy who gave me the rag is on the forum, but if you are, cheers mate

. I will have to repay the favour sometime
All in all, a good session, considering how the Dee has been fishing lately
Will try to get some pictures up later
