Report: I can honestly say last night was the strangest night fishing i have ever seen. Arrived at the pier at about quter to ten and had the first rod inthe water at ten which was a set of feathers flowing in the tide while we set up other rigs on the other rods. The rod was no sooner in the water and BANG it nearly flew off the Pier. A mackerel.

Happy days. Fresh Bait. We put the feathers down again cast out the other rods. The feathers were hopping with herring bites and small pollock under the bridge.
The long cast rods picked up some doggies and also a beautiful thornback that when surfaced managed to unhook and sailed away into the depths again...........I nearly cried!
The strangest thing though happed when things got quite on the distance rods we did a bit of jigging of the feathers for macks. There was a huge band on one of the rods. I thought here we go and started reeling in think i had a full string of Macks. To my Shock

It was a Bass, I didn't know they went for feathers!!!!! I made sure to release him as quickly and with as little stress as possible.(Nearly slipped and killed meself in the process).
All in all a strange night but great.
But that describes Fenit in my experience, it is the strangest place i have ever fished.
