Report:Set up at Wicklow Harbour in mild dry weather but almost immediately was pi*sed on by a heavy shower and that set the tone for the session,,,,dry for a while then the skies opened

. Wasnt too bad in between though and got the usual small wrasse and other species. Plenty of terns diving for small fish which would indicate mackeral not too far out and this was confirmed when I got a shout from a small boat and was tossed a nice fresh mack from Bigballs from the site. I put a 3 hook flapper out on my distance rod and got bites almost immediately on the fresh mack and pulled in a nice doggie,, thanks Bigballs

.Fishface had given me a small travel rod and i was delighted to christen it with a nice little corkwing

, i then caught another which i think is the female corkwing which maybe someone can help identify.Neil came down for a couple of hours but didnt have much luck, but still pulled in a pin whiting to save the blank so i cant give him too mush slagging

. Had to leave a bit early(for me) as i had work so i missed dusk

but it was an enjoyable peaceful session. There was a foreign guy fishing there who was waiting for a bite all day and when he did get bites he'd strike with all his might and then miss, he did foul hook a fish but i'm sure he would have pulled the head off a fish if he'd have connected with them
