Report: wanted a bass so headed south, heard about these twaite shad so decided to pop in and have a bash at em and add to the species list. arrived at venue and relised i left my lures at home doooooohh

. lucky enough the cafe had some in stock

back in business. landed three shad and a brownie well chuffed. decided to move on to the coast as bait was starting to stink the car. hit a beach and found it to be un fishable checked out a few more with similar results. finally found one with shelter and it looked well bassy but tide was out and there was two seals working the coast

. gave it a bash anyway but nothing stirring. decided to hit wicklow pier on way up and maybe catch eyesreillys gurnard

. caught a goldsinney, then a tompot then a sea scorpion 3 i hadnt got for species hunt that was five added to the list today

. got some corkwing and a couple of dabs but it was time to head on felt like we spent most of the day driving and didnt get our bass but well happy with other species. an enjoyable day even if the fishing was a bit slack. if anyone is willing to share a bass mark before the ban id appreciate a pm, all c + r of course.
