frank ended up going back to my usual spot, like you were saying yourself it fishes best on the ebb, looking at winds tonite of 110kpm............reckon there might be a wave or two toniteRockHunter wrote:Good fishing Seanie, did you go where I suggested or your usual spot?

i found it helped a little to just lay the rods against the tripod rather than fully up on it after casting but depends on what your fishing intomarlinman wrote:Well done Seanie fair play to braving it out,i hate fishing in strong winds give me rain anyday.With regards to the tripod blowing over a good tip that i got recently is to get a few big stones from the beach and put them into something like an onion bag or a few carrier bags and just put them onto the clip on the tripod.After that try and fish with the rods been placed in the direction the wind is blowing,it does help bitedetection as well.

thats a good tip al cheers, normally i keep the bait in the bucket could always just keep it in the boxbucket filled with water it keeps the tripod well grounded in strong winds![]()
