sea trout! river!!

not quite sea fishing but got myself a seatrout today flyfishing the dodder!
standing in the middle of the river a pic was a no no!
quick release and i'm still excited!

it was just over 20cm and the sea side of ballsbridge.

Good fishing. Great to hear of sea-trout in the Dodder. Can't be too many capital cities with sea-trout running through them!

and back i was today for a few hours up to 9pm.
result 6 browns and nothong else, my mate had 9 and one sea trout!
missing the sea just a bit!

Were the trout any size?

Were the trout any size?

one a pound and a quarter, some tell tale signs of being a stockie,
the rest were 6-9" or so and in great nick, untroubled as they were
released in the same spot that i continued to catch, gold head nymphs,
olives and greys worked well! got them in Rory's, Temple Bar.
