Results:Flounder whitning and bass.
Report:I was supposed to be going out with the missus on friday but couldnt get a babysitter, happy days. The lads were going fishing so i decided to join them at the last minute . After a quick phone call i organised bait.I rushed out of the house trying to catch up with the lads and only packed my light rain gear, big mistake.
Got set up on beach around 6 and weather was grand.The strong tide was pulling lines all over the place which resulted in a lot of tangled lines.It started raining heavy so we took cover in our beach buddys.
Baits were coming back untouched for the first few hours.I foul hooked a pin whitning around 9 and next few casts had two flounder and another whitning.Things went quiet for a while then and it was still pissing rain.
I went out with the hope of getting a bass but 23:10 cold and wet i decided to pack up.As i started to pack up one of the lads landed a schoolie.
I decided to give it another half an hour and stood in the pissing rain watching my rod waiting for bite.At midnight beaten by the weather and hungry i packed up one of the lads joined me.By the time i got up to the car i got a phone call to say one of the lads had just landed a 5lb bass fishing were id just been.
I headed home and on the way got more texts about more bass being caught.The lads stuck it out till 3:00 and were rewarded with 13 bass between them.Fair play to them for sticking out the weather.
I,ll be out again next week trying to get my first bass of the year and i,ll make sure my floatation suit is packed if the weather is bad .
