Donaghadee pier, Co Down, 26/04/09

Mon Apr 27, 2009 3:54 pm

People:Me

Duration:0900 - 1200

Tide:rising

Weather:overcast, slight breeze

Bait:mack, rag

Rigs:float, 3 hook flapper

Results:blankety blank (unless a crab counts :? )

Report:

Not much to report

Baits kept being stripped by crabs (I caught one as proof!)

Changed to the float to avoid the crabs, but not even a tug :( :( :(

More boat activity than usual in and out of the harbour didnt help I suppose

Still, theres always next time

unlucky man    it still seems to be fishing better around dusk and after dark at the moment. i got a few wrasse there last week. all around 5pm thow. not as early as you were out but. i'll get a run down tonight to see what it's fishing like. might even chuck a set of baited feathers under a float to see if any of the macks are around

Hard luck on the blank.

Did you have much "company". I see that the Spectator Newspaper carried a letter about anti-social behaviour on the pier.

Cheers lads. To be honest I wasn't really expecting to catch much given the time of day, but with 4 young kids in the house I have to take every fishing opportunity that I can!
