Sat Apr 25, 2009 10:38 am

People: Me and my brother Ciaran

Duration: From 17:15 to 20:55

Tide: Rising. High tide at approximately 23:30. The day of the new moon.

Weather: Cool. Overcast. The odd shower. North easterly breeze. Not that breezey. Calm sea. Good water clarity.

Bait: Kilty lure, Flashing minnow, Dexter wedge, Rapala jointed deep diver, two different surface poppers (I can't remember the make and model).

Rigs:

Results: Nothing.

Report: I fished from the driving range right up past the second stream. I tried almost every type of lure that I brought with me. I tried different retrieve speeds. I tried retrieving from different directions. Nothing. There was another lad bait fishing. He put on a set of feathers after seeing a lot of bird activity. He caught a couple of large launce. I saw a couple of fish jumping. They looked like sea trout.
