Lidl Gear Does Business on East Coast Bass

Wed Apr 22, 2009 11:29 pm

Who: Me
Tide: Turned, ebbing
Weather: Calm, Warm
Bait: Lug, crab (frozen)
Result: 1 Bass (30 cm +)

Who says you can't catch bass on Lidl gear? This one was on the Lidl surf kit. Not a huge fish, but nice all the same and great to get out in this weather especially after the soakings last week. Close in too. Lug did the trick.

I'll try for him again on the Lidl carp rod next week...:)

Lidl is the business for fishing gear. Where else can you get a fishing rod with warning overheard powerlines disclaimers on it in 5 languages?

Disclosure: I should point out I am not an employee of Lidl. Everyone knows I am social media adviser for Tesco Express and the Two Euro shop on Thomas Street (Twitter: @patriotismmearse). Damian who?

The recessionski. I do have clients in Sandycove, but all the decent shops closed there in the 1970's - Gleeson's butchers, Clancy's, etc....

Don't start me on Caviston's...

Cheers. Great to get another bass without being rained on for 5 hours. I love Lidl. And the online UK stores. Competition is what it's all about.
