Cushendun Beach Easter Monday

sorry this is a bit late, been busy.....
People: Me, Kenny
Tide: Incoming
Duratuion: 4 Hours
Bait: Rag, Lug, Mack
Rigs: Allsorts
Results: Me- 2 doggies and a very small codling, Kenny 2 doggies
The tide was about 1.30 am, we arrived about 8.30pm and got set up, there wasnt a breath of wind so assumed that we would be inundated with doggies, but after the first cast I noticed the vibration on the rod tip which could only mean one thing CRABS!! We where tortured with them, i actually caught the codling on basically mackrel skin
as the crabs had devoured the flesh. We ploughed on anyhow and the doggies started to feed and at least gave us something to do except rebait rigs. This beach needs a bit of swell to really fish well in my experience and think from now on thats the only time I will be fishing it.

well done mate fishin is pretty slow up there at the minute.
