Report:
Decided to try white rock for my second time. I hadn't been there for quiet a while but remember it being a snag free place & looking like it had the potential to thrown up a Bass by the rocks there if there was a good surf. Well there was a good surf & which it turn brought a lot of weed. It was impossible to fish with bait, so after spinning for 15 mins decided to give up and head for Coliemore park. Stayed here for a few hours and only managed one whiting - blank saved! Weather started to worsen, but was determined to sdtay & use up my bait, which I did to no avail ! Packed up and was glad to get back to a warm house........
From looking at most reports here, all you guys seem to go night fishing. Must give it a try as I 've not been having much luck daylight fishing recently.
anyway here's to the next time........

Stevo,
hard luck, but well tried. Bass can be caught on surf at White Rock - witnessed and helped with a catch and release in early October '07 (41/2 lbs.-lovely fish): was posted here at time by the successful angler, a Galician guy (think he's returned to Spain since then)
Yeah, night time the best, I find..living in north Wicklow..try the Wexford/Waterford beaches are best for quality Bass fishing and for sizeable flatfish; seems these beaches fishing really well, early this season, judging from posts in last few weeks.
Greystones north beach occasionally good on rising tide, but fish tend to be small
Hoping this is of some help...best wishes,
Aidan
