Killiney beach 11-04-09

People: Myself my dad (John), and Derek

Duration: 9-2.45am

Tide: full at about 1am

Weather: nice lovely calm and warm

Bait: fresh lug and rag (dug at 6pm) mack razor

Rigs: not sure what the other very using i was using a clip down two hook rig size 2/0 hooks.

Results: Me 2 dogs and 2 crab, John 3 dogs 2 whithing and a dab, and Derek 4 dogs 6 whithing.




Report:
Decided to go out for two hours 8pm till 10pm, so that plan was out the window. it was a cracking night fishing didn't even put my jacket on as i was warm all night. lovely moon it only rose up out of the horizone at 11pm lovely big orange ball. first cast resulted in a dog for John. steady flow of bites all night at fish caught at distance of around 75-100 yards. tired in close nothing and out as far as i could wih no joy. bites dried up about 2am so started to pack up. Great nights fishing and our first dogs in a very long time grat to see them back. One measure 65cms couldn't weight it unfortunatly.

Yeah saw the same in Wexford it really was beautiful standing there looking at it. Great nights fishing lads.

it was a great sight alright haven't seen that before. was a great nights fishing vowed never to fsh that beach after last october because i always get plauged with weed but Saturday night was a pleasure in fishing. Must get out again next week. As i said just hoping to get a bass as i have only ever got one and that was 10 years ago when i wad 14.
