People:just me (incase i blanked again)
Duration:5.30-12.30am
Tide:high-low
Weather:a bit of everything
Bait:rag and mack
Rigs:three hook flapper fixed pat, float rig
Results:2 plaice (or spotty flounder ) coalies, pin whitting, a doggie (over 70cm) and a codling
Report:headed for the north coast as i cant seem to catch fish in co down, had the first line in water at 5.30.
just a float set-up to start with but the little nibbles never developed, so out with the big guns and got set up with a 3 hook flapper on the big rod, still nothing by 8.30 and was thinking of giving up and settling for my 3rd blank in a row

.but as the light faded to bites started to pick up, and i had a bit of hope

. set up the wee rod with a fixed pat rig and first cast landed a plaice (spotty flounder?). no chance of leaving now as i was starting to land fish from both rods, a good mix of coalies and pin whitting. another plaice (spotty flounder?) was closely followed by my doggie of the year( no photo as he was the liveliest fish i've ever landed and everytime i tried to get a picture it ended up being of my feet). was a brave size and was good sport on the spinning rod, few little ones after that was enough to keep me happy till i called it a day after mid-night
