Report:well was a strange session i must admit, went out to collect some bait and ended up fishing and pushing a net in the surf? first of all we dug a few lug in preparation for a bass session tomorrow. no bother we had forty nice large yellow tails in half an hour, so we then went off gathred a dozen peelers. we noticed quite a few small fish in the rock pools so after a quick run up to denis's jeep we got a few traces with tiny hooks, baited them with small bit of limpets and attacheda split shot to get the bait to sink. it wasnt long before had our first shanny, denis then had a littlle scorpian. i got a few shannies, and after shuffling around to various rock pools we added gunnel, corkwing wrasse and ballan wrasse to our list. i had a shot of pushing a net through the surf to see if i could get any shrimp and sandeels for bait, also just out of curiosity to see what would come up. to my amazment i addded a pretty little flounder to our list, as well as loads of shrimps. of course this is when and idilic session decends into a farcicle state of affairs. it all began with myself, wading deep in a large rock pool with the bucket and fork in hand. it had to have been me to fall over, land face first in the water and loose all the lug, as they dove deep into the murky depths. while the waders where filling with water i attempted what must have been the worst breast stroke in history, still i found the fork and now empty bucket and proceeded to wade to dry land. i should also mention denis was entering a state of comedic shock at this point. with phone destroyed we decided to call it a day and head back to the jeep. but fun was still to be had, denis being a lazy git decided to climb a 8 foot wall clearing to another 4 foot drop clearing to rocks covered in weed, purely because he didnt want to walk 10 minute around to the steps. in true brock fasion he slipped, fell and cracked his head of the rocks below, once i had established he was semi conscious, i forgot about my own misfortune and started laughing like i never laughed before. with a bit of blood and a bump of his head we managed to get the jeep and head for home. he has a few pics of the nice fish, so put em up dumbo!
