. do you reckon the wee fish were whiting or coalies? i know when we fish some harbours jordan likes to cut up some mack into pea sized pieces and chuck them in. he then shines our big spot light into the water to watch all the tiddlers feast on the mack. they will be a bit shy at first but once a brave fish takes the mack the rest follow suit and don't seem to be bothered by the light at all. if anything the seem to be attracted to it. it's amazing just what's under your feet sometimes

i always like to think that there's a big predatory fish watching all the tiddlers illuminated just on the fringes waiting to gobble one of em up. i have'nt got one of em yet, but when i do i'll be screaming it from the rooftops
