Well having trawled through info on the web, I headed for my first shore fishing trip in a long time over the last 2 weeks.
Started on Paddys day in an east cork beach - Totally blanked but learned to bring a head torch the next time.
I had 2 other excursions, one by Kinsale old bridge and the other in ringaskiddy. Using sandeel and a standard two hook rig i thought i was bound to produce! I wouldnt say i blanked as everytime i reeled in i had at least 1 crab on the line but they were the only thing i was catching. I did see some silver fish jumping in Ringaskiddy but couldnt get a proper glimpse as to what the were.
So the question is, before i lose all faith, is there any spot in the Cork harbour area worth visiting at the moment or over the weekend?
And secondly, is there a way to avoid crabs? (dont sleep around i hear you say

)
